Astera is built on the principle that your personal data — especially something as intimate as your birth chart and your inner thread — belongs to you. We collect only what is necessary to give you an accurate and personal experience. We do not sell, share, or use your data in ways you have not consented to.

Your name and pronouns. Your birth date, time, and location. Your current device location (for live sky calculations only — never stored). What you share in the Oracle thread. Your card draws and collection. Your subscription status.

We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your personal information with advertisers. We never use your Oracle thread to train AI models. We never store your current location beyond the current session.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request full deletion at any time through the Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within 24 hours.

Astera uses a small number of trusted third-party services for infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Anthropic (AI language model). Your questions and context are sent to Anthropic to generate personalized responses, but are not used to train their models. None of these parties have access to your Oracle thread or birth data for their own purposes.

Astera uses session cookies for authentication and local storage for app preferences (notification time, usage tracking). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Astera is not intended for users under 13 years of age (16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen. For any data requests, contact us at the address below.
